The software is responsible for displaying of the pre selected scheduled files on the Digital Billboard. Various settings and adjustments can be made to the settings shown in subsequent pictures.

As mentioned previously, the graphic controller accepts a VGA input from the computer and basically displays a portion of the computer screen- pixel for pixel.

Various different file formats are accepted and displayed, among them are MPEG, MPG, M1V, AVI, WMV, WMA (all video formats), various picture formats are also supported among these are BMP, GIF, JPG. Since the software is based on the Windows Media Player™  codec system, any video file format that is supported by Windows Media Player™ is also supported by the software.
 
Shown below is the general settings window, as can be seen from the different fields, the display area can be set and moved, directories specified and certain settings adjusted.

As can be seen from the picture below, various settings are available to the user, allowing manipulation of the colors for both day and night time. A dimming setting used to change the brightness of the sign for day and night viewing, making it less harsh on the eye at night and more visible when competing with the sun in the day.
Each of the three different colors can be adjusted to balance the white produced when all three colors are on at the same time. Various other settings are also available relating to the sign.
